⛰️☀️ The Best Koh Phangan Viewpoints. Part 1
Dear friends!
We are excited to share with you our top 10 favorite viewpoints on Phangan—places that offer the most breathtaking views of the island, the sea, and stunning sunsets. We’ve carefully selected these spots not only for their spectacular panoramas but also for the unique atmosphere that makes each visit unforgettable.
In this first part, we’ll introduce you to our favorite viewpoints that are a must-visit for anyone who loves nature, scenic landscapes, and moments filled with inspiration. Let’s go!
📍 Guys Bar, Baan Kai
A small bar above the Wow viewpoint. The last stretch of the road is quite steep—better leave bikes below and walk up the green alley. Fantastic view of Bantai and Thong Sala.
📍 Club 420, Koh Ma
One of the best sunset viewpoints over Koh Ma. A decent restaurant, comfy sofas, parking. Arrive before 5 PM, especially in high season—otherwise, you’ll be watching the sunset standing!
📍 Haad Yao Hills
A spectacular hill overlooking the western coast and sunset side, often called Beverly Hills for its breathtaking views and top-tier community. Some land plots are available, and construction has already started in some areas.
📍 Ex-Airport, Than Sadet
The most controversial spot on the list.
- Located on the way to Thong Nai Pan, turn right onto a dirt jungle road leading to an abandoned airport.
- Climb up to the abandoned cliffside villa for a panoramic view.
- Caution! The viewpoint is on a rock—old, wide steps, low railings, and a steep drop.
- Return before 6 PM to avoid driving the dirt road in darkness.
📍 Apichada, Ban Tai
One of the best reggae-style viewpoints with a wide panorama overlooking Samui and lush jungle landscapes.
